Another foray into Europe on many wheels!

I imagine she's been training hard and is looking forward to pleasing her master. And carrying bags obviously.

Actually quite impressed with the hotel, clearly a budget hotel, but perfectly good for a nights kip and right opposite the station.
Booking.com strikes again! 160 quid doesn't get much nowadays, but comfy, warm, good bed, good shower, very quiet, perfect just for the one night.
Handy for good grub too!
Allegedly get free(?) grub on the journey, but did get supplies from Pret...but what's this arrived...

Back into Rose St., this end is far nicer, used to be an outstanding selection of proper pubs all along here...

My parents were at Uni in Edinburgh and said Rose street used to be all pubs and the challenge was to have a half in every pub and not many could do it

Through a very wet Doncaster.
Every field has a loch.
This must be a worry for Doncaster folk, as I happen to know that Doncaster folk have subterranean cellars in which they hide their whisky in case of thirsty travellers; these cellars must fill up in times of flood and put their hidden secret whisky stache in grave peril..1000009737.jpg

Through Hertfordshire...my old stamping ground and towards King's Cross...pa worked for the railway so we were always backwards and forwards.
Past the spot where I dealt with a flattened trespasser on the line..I didn't want to risk the probationer so I let him deal with the body while I dealt with the risky business of directing traffic..
This is a great way to cover the miles, and cheap..£164 for both of us ...old person card...and included breakfast and continual tea..and into KX...

5 minute amble in the drizzle across to see our old chum...

Did you know the fold in his billowing coat was designed to mirror the curves of the train shed roof?
Plenty of time for people watching and window shopping here..
There some very odd folk about...
Place was full of foreigners...
