Another mystery trip involving many wheels!

We wandered into the cathedral for the start of a concelebrated...more than 1 priest...sung mass...very wholesome.

Lots of dusky fellows trying to sell shite outside...invariably IC3's...

Pisa unfortunately is a bit of a shithole these days with so many street folk. There is though a really nice peaceful square or neighbourhood not far off the main street where you walk into a nice traditional Italian town with good atmosphere, food and drink. And no street vendors.
As you're on a tour you won't need it so I won't search the name just now.

The good Lord above fixed it for me and Ninjawife to be next to the table where the charming waitress kept her bottles...we established a relationship..the magic words 'do you want some more' came often.
'I've organised a birthday treat for you dairling'
'What is that, my hero?'
'You may sit and watch me get pissed!'

The village was known as the Manhattan of Tuscany owing to all the big towers...Towers as a symbol of wealth and also tax avoidance..1000005727.jpg

To those who scoff at a coach trip we did 400km, visited 3 Tuscan towns we'd never been to, had a good lunch with plenty of wine and were out for 12 hrs.
Well worth doing and would have been very difficult to organise....'Get your Guide' took the strain....

Early start but a full day.

We use, and would recommend Monzo....you can load it easily through the app, and freeze it just as rapidly if anything happens to it.
After my experience with attempted pick pocketing in Milan last year, I now keep my cash and cards in a wallet thing which you put your belt through and then fold back down inside your trouser.
We obviously have other cards available if required and don't carry lots of cash.
Listening to a group of Americans in a cafe, several of them had been relieved of lots of things(including a US Military ID!), and it sounded like just carelessness and naivety.
You just need to screw your loaf!

Lovely place Sienna, I'd love to go when the horse race is on. Looks like you and your better half are lapping it up 👍

Firstly..wishing Cherry a very happy birthday and hoping that her butler ( you ) is treating her like a princess :D.

The trip looks amazing and I'm loving the report but I'm not going to let Maureen see this...I have managed to convince her that crawling in and out of a tent ( often in the rain ) and having to crap in the woods ( often in the rain plus midge ) , is how everyone travels :sneaky:
