Pisa unfortunately is a bit of a shithole these days with so many street folk. There is though a really nice peaceful square or neighbourhood not far off the main street where you walk into a nice traditional Italian town with good atmosphere, food and drink. And no street vendors. We wandered into the cathedral for the start of a concelebrated...more than 1 priest...sung mass...very wholesome.
Lots of dusky fellows trying to sell shite outside...invariably IC3's...
Lovely place Sienna, I'd love to go when the horse race is on. Looks like you and your better half are lapping it upTo those who scoff at a coach trip we did 400km, visited 3 Tuscan towns we'd never been to, had a good lunch with plenty of wine and were out for 12 hrs.
Well worth doing and would have been very difficult to organise....'Get your Guide' took the strain....
Early start but a full day.

Exactly Mike, same with Jennifer, they'd only get the wrong ideaFirstly..wishing Cherry a very happy birthday and hoping that her butler ( you ) is treating her like a princess.
The trip looks amazing and I'm loving the report but I'm not going to let Maureen see this...I have managed to convince her that crawling in and out of a tent ( often in the rain ) and having to crap in the woods ( often in the rain plus midge ) , is how everyone travels
