Another mystery trip involving many wheels!

A first!
Foot passenger!
No facking about with ratchet straps or stroppy filipino deck hands.
Bus from opposite the station, stroll through check in and border force, lift up to deck 9 and into our sumptuous lodgings...

I see they've put you in an officer's suite,😊 I didn't realise ferries had cabins that big. Does it come with a butler?

Enjoy your trip wherever you get to. :beerjug:

And whistle through customs into Europe without a single drama!
Onto the smart coach for the half hour ride into Amsterdam...had to share that with poor people..they really need a Commodore coach.

Roaming back on...far faster connection than either LNER or DFDS....pisses me off no end when I see what I get at home for a phone signal compared with most of Europe...pathetic....must be down to Brexit.... :D

Luckily the trams are familiar to us...couldn't be easier...just tap in and out with a contactess card, phone, whatever. The journey through he city is as interesting as the destination....canals and peddly bikes!
20 minute ride from Centraal Station to Museumplein..
Cafe and good crappers...what more could a fellow want!

Welcome to Holland! Noord Holland that is where you are in sunny Amsterdam. Weather is nice today! Good for sightseeing! Enjoy the museums!

Spooky!

Out for a coffee with her nibs and a friend this morning and her nibs commented that the waitress was the spit of an old, old friend.

Bear with me!

Eileen (said old friend) had won a weekend in Amsterdam for two. She and partner arrived at the station shown in the pic and stepped out ... to be run over by a tram! Fortunately, it wasn't going too fast, driver hit the brakes and Eileen hit the deck! Cue a trip to hospital for X rays etc etc. A memorable free weekend away, for all the wrong reasons!

Even more memorable ... the following weekend we were all invited for a meal at mutual friends' place and after a suitable amount of wine, Eileen tells the tale to gales of laughter and then hoicked her skirt up to show us all the bruises!

Quite the character was Eileen! No longer with us sadly, but lots of laughs to be remembered by!

Carry on Gerry! :thumb2

So risking lethal tram traps we dondered through the village...much to be admired, some sights less familiar than others...
