I recently bought a 2010 R 1200 GS TU, it looks like it's previous owner has fitted an aftermarket screen, I've posted a pic so that perhaps someone might be able to identify it, anyway the screens perfect as far as buffeting goes, no issues there and can ride comfortably with the visor open, however the wind noise is horrendous. This is in comparison to my last bike which was a Kawasaki Versys fitted with a Puig screen.

Has anyone on here encountered the same problems? and what was the solution.

For information I'm 6' tall and wear an Arai TX3 and always use earplugs, has anyone found a marked improvement with winglets or are they a waste of time?

I’ve got the Givi air flow 330 and it’s the best screen ever on any of my three 1200GS’s I’ve had over the years, I thought I’d make it even better by adding winglets. Wrong, I now get buffeting around the sides on my arms and shoulders but I’ve now got the mounting holes to deal with.
The answer seams to be splitting the airflow with either an AF330 or adding a blade to the standard screen.
2011 TU

+1 for the Givi air flow , I have tried a few after market screens before the Givi and now there is no going back.
Hope this helps.
