UPDATE....
Valves checked, adjusted and double checked.
New parts so far....
Complete fuel system including pump, pressure regulator (3.5 bar) all pipes, filter and breathers.
New primary coil
New coil packs
New Lamda sensor
New injectors
New starter motor (x2, don't ask)
New plugs
New 'zorst manifold studs (10mm, again, don't ask

)
Air temp sensor checked and operational
Fitted spare HES this weekend.......it wouldn't fire up so left it until today.....
Removed cog again, double checked location tag was intact and timing witness marks were spot on....
Powered it up......fuel pump priming randomly, rev counter needle bouncing off the ceiling like a gibbon on speed, not even an attempt to fire......plenty of fuel in tank, then suddenly fuel started pissing out of Equaliser pipe between front manifolds
Plugs removed , soggy wet with petrol, put aside to dry overnight
Seems apparent that the spare HES (recently reconditioned and sold by an American bike breakers from the look of it ) is duff
Fekkity fekkity fekk
Will re-fit 'old' HES tomorrow......that was new 1000 miles ago.......will try and adjust timing on the few degrees adjustment available As quite a lot of the bolts around the alternator and HES area were loose, it's possible it had slipped out of range
Have noid lights and so on, so fingers crossed I can make it run better tomorrow
(When tried to ride at end of last week it was fekking scary.....because the TPS, valves and balancing has been tweaked to perfect on tickover, the bike lifted the front wheel very easily, but then bogged down and farted like a buffalo, then picked up again when de-clutched and revs stabilised.....)
I AM going to get this fucker sorted out
