I think at this stage I'd "borrow" an ECU off Da Guru and change that You have done everything else

Would you believe though......I tried Ash's spare HES (the one with one wire too many) and it didn't work....not even an attempt to cough a little.

Then I put in the ORIGINAL HES (the one that was in the bike when I wheeled it out of the showroom brand spanking new 7 years ago) and it didn't work.....

So I returned to the working HES that Chad fitted brand new a few years back...the one that was working two weeks ago, when the bike ran, idled, revved but wouldn't pull.

THAT ONE WON'T WORK NOW

I stuck a noid light in the injectors and got a very intermittent pulsing, very weak too.

Could there be a fault in the wiring after the plug and that moving it about when changing over the units has caused the fault to appear? Could even be the wires coming out of the plug on ECU side?

Well it got masked by some other stuff, including two utterly poorly manufactured starter motors ( I took mine off to give to Gert for his 1100 and although it had only been used a dozen times and had never been out on the road, the end was cracked through. Gert ordered a genuine one that he got for 130+vat and everything on it was twice as sturdy, even to the eye, as the cheap shit I'd made the mistake of buying twice before ) then a slipped timing chain and some other problems.

I ended up replacing half the engine again.

What was the original problem? Fucked if I know
