I had my second test ride on an LC today, had the bike nearly all day, brilliant!
I rode to the dealer on a new Pan European that I'd borrowed, cos I was also considering a Pan and needed to rule it out ...or in!
Huge Massive grin factor comes as a free extra with the LC, which the venerable Pan could not compete with.
The only thing that I didn't like on the LC was an ackropovic can which was nice for the first 15 minutes but then it really got on my nerves droning away.
Question? While I was having a coffee at Fimber Woods a guy pulled up on an LC fitted with wire wheels that looked pretty cool, apparently these are £350.00 for the pair if ordered with the new bike but about £600.00 each if fitted as after market part.
Being aware of the GS's corrosion history does anyone know if the spokes will be stainless on the spoked rims, and what are the pros and cons in having these fitted.
The other guy had also gone for some smart touratech panniers and top box, I think that they were called zega-pros. He said that the BMW plastic luggage can snap off the bike quite easily. Your comments please guys?
