i'm stripping the hpn tank on Camille and some of the paint just peels off in big flakes but some seems to have bonded really well with the plastic. Is there any type of paint stripper thats safe to use on a plastic tank.

I'm toying with getting my Rally Bike resprayed and shall be asking a few questions from a local paint guy when I see him![]()

i recon yours would look good in a full marlboro paint jobbie, all floro red and white![]()

How about soda blasting?.Works on fibre glass and just about everything else

which is hy i'm asking if a nitromores type paint stripper would work without eating the plastic.paintable nylon type i think. its not white which is what the polyethylen are like, its a slightly opake off cream colour.
Excuse my ignorance, but why do you need to remove all the paint before a respray?![]()

Poly ones are flexible compared to the nylon, if it don't flex when you press on the side its nylon.
Only asked is the poly ones can't be painted and the paint eventual flakes off like you described.

to get the level of finish i require meens starting from a fresh canvas.
