Any of you Tossers ride a pushbike?

40 miles this morning on a loop around Rivington. Lovely flapjack at the lower barn.

Well bought myself a Giant Defy5, used it Saturday to do a 15mile ride, which made my arse sore, so today I used my old tourer and managed to do 22 miles, I rode from Cockermouth to Buttermere village and back, this is quite hilly, especially where you drop down over looking Buttermere lake, I seemed to have improved greatly over the past few weeks, still a long way to go though,

Padded tights ordered :aidan

Quality shorts and one of these seats helped with the sore arse.

Drop dead stunning part of the world.....Lucky man.....:thumby:

Now it's a little cooler, are you guys still riding? My girl and I pedalled 20+ miles today - Cheshunt to Hertford and back on the towpath of the River Lea Navigation through Ware and Stanstead St Margarets. Very pleasant.

Yep, getting out whilst the weather's still good. 25 yesterday, 20 today.

Offset, of course, by finishing at The Rose.....:banghead:

50 miles today, making for 139 miles for the week and have done 5045 year to date. I'd like to make 6000 by the end of the year but I'm behind schedule to hit that given the likely change in the weather.

Yes, out to Hertford and back first thing this morning. 38 mile round trip. Very nice it was, out at 7am while the roads were nice and quiet.

Sherwood Pines on the mtb saturday, spent a nice hour thrashing around with no grief.
Went out on the road bike yesterday and came off on a greasy bit turning left at a set of lights - gravel rash down my left side.
Fucking dangerous these road bikes.

well I am one of those Cnuts that ride to work, 18.4 every day so far, don't see anyone else though, worked out it's safer to ride in the lane rather than the side of the road, clear of road debris and it slows drivers down, then pull left and let them through if there is on coming traffic,

Sunday I rode from Cockermouth to keswick over winlatter pass, then back the same way, struggled a bit on the hills, had to get off the bike and wait a couple of mins whilst I caught my breath, before re mounting and carrying on,

weight now down to 13 and a half stone, from 15 and a half at the start :thumb2
