Any of you Tossers ride a pushbike?

well I am one of those Cnuts that ride to work, 18.4 every day so far, don't see anyone else though, worked out it's safer to ride in the lane rather than the side of the road, clear of road debris and it slows drivers down, then pull left and let them through if there is on coming traffic,

Sunday I rode from Cockermouth to keswick over winlatter pass, then back the same way, struggled a bit on the hills, had to get off the bike and wait a couple of mins whilst I caught my breath, before re mounting and carrying on,

weight now down to 13 and a half stone, from 15 and a half at the start :thumb2

Good effort Ian, its a bitch on the Keswick side of whinlatter :beerjug: Next challenge once you`ve cracked that is Newlands :blast :D

...and then Wrynose and Hardnott....

Now I don`t consider those to be a good ride out, you flog your pan in to get to the top then are hanging on the brakes with white knuckles all the way back down the other side, wheres the pleasure in that? I want to be pulling a bloody good speed downhill for all the effort expended getting up the thing!! max speed so far is 52 mph :D

No work on at the moment so still managing to get out twice a week. Went out yesterday and did 25 miles on the Tarka Trail, I haven't cycled any other route for the last 2 months as the scenary is so impressive as autumn has arrived. Decided to lose a bit of weight starting early Sept and lost roughly 2 stone so far; down from 16 1/2 stone to 14 1/2 stone aiming for 13 1/2 now. Lucky I kept my 32" waist jeans because they fit again now.

I managed 22 miles this afternoon with a 1277 ft elevation. It was a bit of an effort but I managed it without getting off and pushing. I'm well chuffed. It's my 8th outing on the bike and double my previous distances.

Nice one and good for your health! A few more like that and you'll be assured of not dying young.

That's good going Ronno, I expect you slept well last night :D It's surprising how the fitness levels and seat comfort get better after a while :thumb2

I haven't been out on my bike for over two months but this thread being bumped and a shit week motivated me to stick the winter tyres on and get out this morning.

'Twas a bit parky but good nevertheless although I added 20 minutes to my usual time.
Strava tells me I did 21 miles in 1hr 40 with 903 ft of elevation.

Been cycling again for the last couple of months. Now that the salt is being spread I know my motorbike is going to stay put for a little while yet, so I treated myself to a new road bike last week, a Cube Peleton Pro. Took it out for a 25-mile spin yesterday, cold but dry. Really enjoyed it & it seems to be about 15% faster than riding on roads on my MTB. Went to Aldi in the afternoon to buy some warmer bib tights & a thermal base layer. Some decent cycling gear in there at the moment.

Hi, no I hadn't realised that Infinity are now a 100% Cube stockist until 2 days after I got my bike from CycleSurgery at the Metro (also it was £20 cheaper there). Once I'd been told about their new showroom at Langley Park I popped in on my way home from work to have a look. Loads of lovely looking bikes, clothing, accessories. I'll have no problem in thinking what I want for Xmas :D

Managed to do it fully today, no stops and no get offs!

Knackerd now! :beerjug:

Did 9.5 miles of Urban trail riding on my Trek 49er this morning instead of my normal 45 min route, first time out on her for 4-5weeks. Its amazing what tracks/short cuts you find in a semi rural/urban setting that will keep you off some of the busy roads. Some I knew about some I didn't. I did about 6 or 7 x 8 mile runs out the month before my break as I wanted to start improving my fitness and now fitness has gone right back to shit again in that short time.
