What do you do rinse off with cold water when cold and risk taking the acf off or just leave it alone trusting in the acf underneath ?

I'm a fat bastid, so I'm searching tyre quotes. I could go el cheapo and replace the Tourance, or get jiggy with a BT23/BT21 combo.
