Any preference on my next part?

hi mark,i bought one of your crud catchers and was really pleased with it,top bit of kit,
the heel guard, well the standard one does its job well on my bike,

but mark, you seem like a robust character and you did ask,the side panel infils imo are not good,i wanted to like them but i cant, should have gone over frame tubes to offer more protection and to allow p clips to be hidden underneath,so you just see the fastner head, soory to criticise i could not do anything like this and i aplaud you for what you have done, but you did ask,

a stainless extender below number plate,a bit wider and longer than the wunderlich one for ex would be a good next project for you i reckon

Mark, sorry but I have to agree 100%. The crudcatcher is the dogs danglies, the OEM heel guard I'm happy with and the sidepanels I can't see me going for at all.

You have two suggestions for the rear mudguard now though.:bounce1 It might be an idea to post up designs first before going into production to get some feedback. These are constructive comments only.

Thanks, sincerely

Ta, geezers, for the all important feedback. :)

I understand what you are saying - the infills look good to me but thats just my opinion!

Everything you have suggested sounds logical so I thankfully take it on board.

I`ll reconsider the side infills and give serious consideration to the rear mudflap/crud cather - does anyone out there have any specific sizes to recommend?

Best regards to all,

mark.

:roll

hi mark, good for you on taking flack like a man:D

the rear crud catcher i think should be the width of a standard number plate, about 23.5 cm i think and about 26cms long, with a nice kick up at the end like the wunderlich plastic one:thumb

Ok, thanks

Ok, thanks man :)

I`ll take a look 2moz at my own GS and get an idea for the design though it sounds simple enough.

I have been asked for a LH heel guard so I feel obliged to have a crack at that first then i`ll certainly look at the rear guard for you!

Thing is I do some parts specifically for one person, like the side panel infills, and nobody else likes them!

I am happy to do this (otherwise I wouldn`t do it!) but it proves that you can`t please all the people all the time!

I am sure a rear guard would appeal to a few so thats good! :thumb

btw mark dont forget that on a gsa the pannier racks have a support bar runing across the back of the bike near the number plate

Urgent appeal!

Geezers, Like a d*ck head I made a `special` for a guy in ireland but sent it to the worng geezer. he was kind enough to ring me and said he would return it (thank you) but I have not seen it yet.

Whoever you are (I can`t remember) and if you are reading this can you please return it?

I`ll pay any postage, and send you a freebie thank you, as I really need to get it to the geezer it was promised to!

Thanks,

Mark (aka D*ck head)

Mark I have sent you two emails , with pictures attached of the license plate extender thingy as well as asking for a quote (incl.postage to Germany) for the right hand heel guard, but have not received an answer. I`d be interested in a left side heel guard as well.

????????

Hi mate, firstly thanks for your emails but I have to say that I have not received them. It could be down to my firewall settings stopping everything from abroad coming in (oh, the emails from Nigeria!).

Send me your email address via the forum or by pm and I`ll email you and `unblock` any reply I may receive.

sorry for the delay but this is the first I have heard of them not getting through.

regards,

mark.

Maybe I shouldnt have mentioned in my emails that my late grandma`s cousin has two million tons of stainless steel sheets in Nigeria.......:P

Idea

Mark,
Having bought the crud catcher I am pleased with it doing what it says on the tin!!! What about a rear crud catcher, the one you fit to the rear no plate to stop some of the cr*p being thrown up which ends up on the pillion and the luggage. Looks quite straight forward to do. R 1200 GS is the bike.??:beerjug:

Thank F*ck

Thanks mate, as it turned out I had to make the geezer in Ireland another one because it was not his fault I am 3 parts stupid and 4 parts pissed most of the time.

Nonetheless, I will receive the one I sent you with many thanks!

I am pleased that the crud catcher was well received - it`s good stuff and I don`t charge a lot for it.

thanks for your honesty and I`ll buy you a beer when we meet up!
