Whats the general opinion on these helmets, had a Caberg flip from work but thought it was uncomfortable. Like the idea of a flip and thought the C2 was really comfortable when I tried it on. So are these as quite as they say and how easy is it to fit a headset?
Paid £220 for

Just need to pick it up tomorrow as I couldn't carry it on the bike :D

not a bad lid really, took me a while to dig some foam out so that i could fit the autocom earpieces flush.

Very pleased with mine, very comfortable.. also had to make some slight mods to fit small speakers for my Zumo, had a problem with misting, but fitted a universal pinlock system which works a treat.. :thumb2

Had the C1 and now have the C2.

The C1 was easier to fit helmet speakers into - the C2 needs a really small Torx bit which I ended up finding in Halfords after a long search.

Having said that, once the speakers were in I've found the helmet to be a big improvement. Much quieter than the C1 and the best ventilation I've ever had in a helmet.

It's very well put together and I'd certainly buy another one to replace it.

I've heard of a couple of people who had problems with it misting up - but it's never done it with me, so I guess it's something to do with the shape of your head or how you breathe. I usually pop the visor forward as I like the extra ventilation which I guess also helps.

I'd echo the points above. Plus I've found the after sales excellent. Bit heavier than the Concept .

Where did you get one for that price.. bargain! :thumb2

I've been thinkin 'bout replacing my Concept (predecessor to C2), but can't find a C2 Dekor under £330ish!

Sorry it's a german dealer plus I get tax off aswell :augie, took me awhile to find one as cheap though.

I'm a dissenter. Excellent helmet once it wears in. A few foilbles like the top vent breaking off and it having to go back to OxProd to fix, away for a month.

The cheap "velcro" that keep the inner in place needed replacing after OxProd had pulled it to piece to access the red plastic bolts.

And now when it is out of warranty the left chin lock has packed up and needs adjusting but OxProd won't take it back as the dealer I bought it off has gone tits up.

Apart from that excellent helmet, not as quiet as I had expected it to be given the praise on web forums but still quieter than my previous Caberg flip-up, then again it was 2.5 times the price at £249.

Tge internal sun visor is pure class as well, comes down the right amount and means I can wear clear glasses in sunshine without being blinded!

Not a bad helmet and v quiet - but it feels big and heavy to me specially when doing life savers. Had a problem fitting autocom kit which took for ever and not really happy with the fit.

the interior visor is great but the lack of a anti flog fitting is a pain as the special coating on the inside of the visor peeled off quickly which led to misting. The lid has some great deisgn features like the city visor mode etc. but other bits let it down. I also found the the lock system for lifting the front was a bit of a pain to do oner handed.

I ended up buying a Shoei Multitec fitted with a variable fog city insert and its fantastic for what I need. Lighter, easier to use for opening and a doddle to fit coms. Its also feels lighter and fits my head far better

Got one of these lids in Augsburg,Germany two weeks ago in a Polo shop there for €350/£280. I know they have an on line shop as well so it might be worth a look :nenau

Thanks for the suggestion Dec... I did look at online shops in Germany, but with postage the cost was about the same as UK.

...too late for me now anyhow; I decided to try a Shoei Multitec instead - hopefully arriving today from helmet city. :)

Impressed so far but only problem is trying to put comms in , because it's put together so well took me about 3 hours trying to get the headset just right, going to get the breath guard though, not because of misting but because it feels wierd having such a large visor opening :eek

Like mine but gave up on the Autocom earpieces and went for ear buds in the end. It's a quiet helmet and only mists up if I get really scared.
John

i find mine very comfortable at speed, no misting, had a problem with the coating on the inside of the visor peeling, dealer i bought it from changed it with no problem.
