Anybody got a 1250 GSA on order?

Thats fine to do that and its all above board but!! My mate done it with a Honda fireblade a few years ago and when he tried tj get finance to buy a Honda Africa Twin thus year they declined the finance and wouldn't tell him why although his credit is fine.
The trick, if you go down the finance route (once you’ve got your head around the fact that you’ll never own the bike, and there’ll never be any equity in the bike) is to voluntarily terminate the agreement once you’ve made half the payments.

Then it doesn’t matter what it’s worth, or what bike you’re buying next, you just hand it back. ;)

We've done it on my wife's cars a few times, and it hasn't affected her credit rating. Looking at her Experian report at the time, there was no mention of it.

I dont think it affects your credit rating but they must put a marker on it for future ref! Only in my opinion.

Although it does come up on credit history as voluntary termination, however it does not affect your overall credit score.

Exactly that. My wife just confirmed this as she’s works for a finance company. So that marker can actually affect the outcome of a deal to be had.

Not according to my dealer - Eicma launch, bikes available in the spring.

The R1200GSA, R1200R and R1200RS have all just disappeared off the BMW Motorrad configurator webpage. I assume that’s because they’ll all be 1250 models next year?

Have been talking to a local dealer but they are quoting 7.9% APR which seems pointless to persue.

I really like my 2017 R1200 GSA. Done 12000 miles and feels like I've just run it in.... I'm just getting started on it.

I have no urges to give it back, its fast enough, comfortable enough, reliable enough, in a form factor thats flexible.

TFT is nice but not essential as I have NAV VI. TFT does nothing extra to what I already have.

Hill hold assist and ABS Pro I already have.

The new bike is reportedly smoother, more refined which is nice... but not worth paying up to £6000 for effectively an engine tweek. Not until this bike is ready for a natural replacement in a few years time

I'm more inclined to stick my money down on a Superbike to add to the stables...

At the end of the day a R1250 rider won't be doing anything different to a R1200 rider, except paying off another chunk of cash to BMW.

That’s what I did
Tempting to keep chasing the latestngreatest, but then I realise my MY17 TB is pretty good. Even the spoked wheels have no issues!

Agree with all of that but I want TFT and it's a total shitter that it can't be retrofitted. I guess I could buy the Nav but you can buy a phone which does most of that for the same money.

I'm fully aware that my logic here is stupid as can be as I don't want to buy a Nav but do want to swap bikes!

I wish I had same logic. Mine is 2017 TB GSA 15200 on the clock, but I fancy something a little lighter and on cast wheels rather than spokes. So 1250 GS exclusive or 1290 Super Adventure S are the bikes I have on my mind.

Both bikes workout within £500-£700 of each other fully specked up but KTM trade in is rather poor compared to BMW Dealers. Would love to own KTM but not at the cost of poor PX. More work to be done.....

Just bought a new TB GSA with TFT. What an idiot! Had a buckled front wheel and a few other things. Worked out cheaper per month to get new with TFT and SOS.
