Anyone else getting 'check oil' every now and again

Got stuck in traffic on a severe downhill and the light came on for oil. Stopped and looked at the window and was horrified to see it totally empty. Left it for 10 mins on centre stand and the window was full again. WEIRD..............

That happened to me as well. Got to the bottom of the hill, bike on centre stand, I had a quick drink, and all was fine:beerjug:

Not really, just shows its getting pumped round!

First rule of oil checking is..... Don't do it straight after you've run the engine!

Hear hear geesexr, I have noticed the same, seems to be sport to just splat crap on posts that are genuinely looking for advice and or comradeship.

This forum has changed since its introduction all those years ago.

The forums only changed in the delicacy of the newer members.

It's always been a spot for piss taking, bullying the noobs and knocking the newest GS.

Have a read of the great mono vs paralever debacle:D

As for an oil level monitor, checking the oil level on bm's has always been a pain. Whilst a monitor may be a good idea, I wouldn't trust it. A sight glass check and a little red light should be sufficient. If you shouldn't need to check the oil every ride, they should be burning fuel, not mobils finest:blast
