The wife read this and promptly went to Boots to buy some cream to rub on my soon to be numb ass :D

Get yourself a sheepskin for the saddle, if you haven't already....................

Feck just noticed this says Morocco and not Monaco???

So we're not going to a sunny principality on the Mediterranean Sea on the southern coast of France, near the border with Italy?

What if my V5 doesn't arrive by Friday morning's post??

I got insurance doc, green card ...

Not got the little slip from the old V5 either .... so technically I may not be the registered keeper!

Hmmm....just beginning to think do I really need one of these. I actually find the standard seat relatively comfortable and imagine that I will get numb bot after 500 miles whether or not I am sat on a sheep. I also have a problem with aesthetics, can't imagine that a cream shag pile looks that good on a GS. Perhaps I will think otherwise on Saturday night.

I use a sheepskin and rate it, who cares what the bike looks like as long your arse doesn't feel like it's been pummeled by a ship load of sailors all night :thumb

I was wondering that too...

Just called these guys www.SHEEPSKINSHOP.co.uk who will make one to measure this morning and have it in the post by lunchtime. They even had the pattern to fit a GSA. £65 including delivery by courier.....pretty good service I reckon. :thumb

is that what happens "in the vale"

I thought it was camels but here goes....

Currency Exchange
Moroccan Dirhams can only be obtained in Morocco. National currencies should be exchanged at official bureaux de change only (identified by a golden sign); changing money in the street is illegal. There is no commission charge and visitors will be issued with a receipt which they must keep in order to exchange Moroccan currency back into the original national currency upon departure. Money can be withdrawn in banks with a credit card and a cheque book or directly from an ATM in some larger towns.

Credit / Debit Card Information
Some credit cards are accepted. Check with your credit or debit card company for details of merchant acceptability and other services which may be available.

Travellers Cheque Advice
To avoid additional exchange rate charges, travellers are advised to take traveller's cheques in Pounds Sterling or US Dollars.

Currency Restrictions
The import and export of local currency is prohibited; all local currency must be reconverted prior to departure. The import and export of foreign currency is unlimited but must be declared if in excess of the equivalent of MAD15,000. Upon production of bank vouchers, half the Moroccan currency purchased during a visitor’s stay may be re-exchanged for foreign currency (subject to some limitations) and all of it if the stay is less than 48 hours.

Richard...sod all that, all you'll need is Euros.

Might be worth changing a few quid up to Dirham for baretering for the small stuff in the Soukhs but I don't remember anywhere that doesn't quite happily take Euros.

PS Don't know how old that piece you quoted was but I certainly wouldn't take Dollar TC's

Well it's all official now.

It must be I've just taken delivery of the tour stickers.

These are limited edition, gold bordered, one off prints :D

Many thanks to Tuned In for turning them around in such a short space of time. I rang him Monday night and e-mailed him a picture and the postman dropped them through my door this morning :thumb
