Bought a centre stand from James Sherlock for my 2017 Rallye. Fitted one bracket with spring attached to the pivot pin on underside of the frame. I'm struggling to pull the springs (with notched bracket attached to the other end of the springs) down to the pivot pin on the centre stand. The least distance to stretch the springs is with the centre stand up against the swinging arm/shaft drive. Any tips on how to stretch the springs that last 10-12mm to latch the bracket onto the pivot pin?

Remove the stand , attach the spring to the frame and the stand when the stand is unattached , use the stand as a lever to get it into position and then fit pivot bolts

This - still took me ages!

Boot lace pullers work too if you have room to stretch the spring enough

Ratchet strap and boot lace, park bike behind your car so that rear bike tyre is touching it, inline with tow eye or tow bar, hook one end of ratchet strap to bar/tow eye, tie boot lace to spring and attach to the other end of ratchet strap.

Alternatively fill the spring with penny washers between each coil.

Just do as Ding Dong suggested, it really is the easiest way with no effort at all.
