I don't want to start another thread examining the ins and outs of a Hilltop remap. Just looking for feedback from anyone who has had their watercooled GSA remapped at Hilltop. Was it worth it? How is the bike different now?

Thanks :beerjug:

Considering I use my bike in rain mode mostly and find it fine with 25 horses missing I'd have to ask what's the point? JJH

As you didnt want to start another thread, What did you find out after doing a search in this forum ?

I had mine done and it was a much better bike for it

Now close this thread please.......

Yep. Had 2 GSs and a GSA done. All smoother across the rev range. No snatching at 2.5 - 3.5 k so much better round town in 2nd and 3rd.

It's not about the horsepower, it's about how smooth the bike is after a visit to Hilltop.;)

Hill top never heard of them have they been mentioned on here before :D

I followed an R9T that had been done and it was bloody quick

What bike do you have?

I know the KTMs drop to 100 hp in rain mode but I don't think the GS does

I have a w/c GSA of 2014 vintage. I do believe it drops to 100 bhp in rain. I'm happy with that. Maby I'm wrong but it wouldn't be the first time. Am I after admitting to beeing a whimp? JJH

Yep - searched high and low for useful info but found mainly arguing - hence my query. None of the engine modes on the GSA reduce engine power - they simply soften the throttle response and make changes to ABS and ASC response.

Thanks to the guys who provided an answer - I realise that it's purely opinion and that others may disagree but that's life!

Subject closed so far as I am concerned. :thumby:

I just leave my bikes in dynamic, regardless of the weather. Just show some restraint if it's raining, like the days before engine modes.
