From the angle the photo was taken it does look like the gearbox is out,
But I can assure you the box is fitted and complete

Paintwork has been redone at some point,the finish is kinda ok but I’ve seen better

The starter motor is missing,so no attempt has been made by me to run the bike,
I’ve had a torch down the spark plug holes and the bores look ok,
The engine turns over and has compression.

The bike has come South Africa,so there is very little damp corrosion.
I have the nova cert and a dating cert from bmw,it’s a 1975 build.
The seat base is very good.
Generally the bike is good,
An ideal restoration project or just recommission,wipe its arse with an oily rag and ride it

Oh ,forgot.
It’s got Rs bars fitted and some crappy mirrors that really don’t work with the S fairing.
Dosnt appear to be any leaks from the under tank master cyl,lever is firm and the brakes work.

I am not a fan of the 90s, because of those horrible brakes. Yes, they are horrible, I had them on my first RS and could never get them to work as I wanted.... swapped for a Brembo one as soon as they came out! BUT, I love to see them in other peoples' hands. I shall watch with avid interest.
