Basically, I'm looking for some spotlights and wondering if anyone can recommend some after market ones, I'd love to be able to be ab,e to buy a Denali setup but was looking g for something cheaper?

Thanks, I'm not up to speed on these can things, so basically I'd fit a HZ can for example and then is it a matter of just adding some lights, mounting them and running the cables into one of the can connectors? How do you then select the functions of it?

Also my model is the model without heated seats, would I be able to buy a heated seat and then fit it and use a can to turn it on and off or amend the settings?

The hex is plug and play. You simply unplug the TPS module and add the hex in then run your cables to your lights (I have mine run via a switch on the bars switching the 2 negatives to the lights so I could then program the hex to switch the aux light off on the same side as my indicator that was flashing so the aux light didn't mask it. I also power my ali express 2 channel bike cam and an extra horn off the hex too. It's all relatively easy to set up. You just plug the hex into your pc then choose what your going to be powering on the various hex chanels and it does the rest. So for me the bike cam comes on and goes off with the ignition, as do the aux lights dependant on my handlebar switch and the 2nd horn obviously just sounds when I push the horn button. There's other things like brake lights you can add too. It's a great system.

If you have a 1250GS then I'd recommend you do all the wiring and figuring out where the hex goes under the seat with the silver seat mount removed. It's only held on by the torx bolts so simple to remove. Steve Able's chanel a bike thing has videos for both the GS and GSA on how to take all the panels off 👍

Thanks, I'll do some reading up on it, thanks for the pointers.

You can, you use one of the spotlight tails on the EzCan to control it - I have done this on my 2019 R1250GS with a Wunderlich Heated Seat (just be careful which one you buy though if you go Wunderlich, as there are 2 types of heated seat, one which replaces factory fitted heated seats, and one which you can fit where the GS did not have factory heated seats - you would want the latter.

On my GS, I run the heated seat through the EzCan tail for a second set of spots, so you press the indicator off 3 times to switch it on and off

I use colights, £90 pair delivered Within 4-5 days. Brilliant. https://www.led-colight.com/products/colight®3inch-d-series-white-combo-beam-led-ditch-lightsIMG_1767.jpeg

Just watched the Youtube video, they look right up my street, think I'll order a can bus as well...
Cheers...

I wired my colights through Denali ezcan along with sound bomb and rear light. So easy to fit and wire up. Love the way you can strobe spots when horn is activated.

Did you use the cables supplied with the Ezcan or did you buy the loom from Colight?

Don’t bother with loom. Buy these.

I also have the Colights aux LED lights, love them. Did you wire them through the ezCAN device? If so did your LED lights have a third yellow wire?

I went with a pair of Denali D4 LED Light Pods. They are connected to a Hex EZCan and work great. Excellent light down the road, especially at night. Got it all from ABikeThing.
