Johnny I don't think that answears the question, I'm led to believe yes you can have non servo BUT that also means non ABS.
Removing the servo only is, I think not possible as the servo version uses a different ABS unit, (that is a combined unit), or am I talking bollox again.
Get your act together BMW I may buy a new bike if it were ABS and NON servo, but not otherwise.

Dont see how you can have ABS without some degree of servo since you need power to operate the ABS. It works on the basis that the wheels speeds are measured and when there is a difference the brakes are released to compensate. How can it do this withoput power assistance ie servo?

If you're looking for a technical dissertation, I can't give you one, but in layman's terms:
The central 'brain' of the ABS unit monitors wheel rotation, by electrical/magnetic sensors mounted on the wheels (the ABS Ring & sensor). When it logs a disparity between wheel speeds, with the brakes on, it releases the pressure to the slow/stopped wheel. It can do this by electrically opening a pressure release valve. When the wheels' speeds match again, the pressure release valve is closed.
The ST1100 used a similar system for traction control - when there was a disparity between wheel speeds when the brakes were not on (ie wheelspin), it operated an ignition cutout until the speeds matched again.
