as title says, just wondered if any of you guys had tried a supermoto set up as yet?
as see rotobox are making wheels for the Gs now 17 inch 3.5 inch front and 6 inch rear

You’re more than welcome to tell me to bugger off,
But,the number one aim of a super Moto is lightweight, punchy and agile,
Wheelies,stoppies,etc etc
Fun ,hooligan etc.
A bulky 230 kg bike is never really going to be a super Moto.😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Ignore me,I’m just having fun👍
Apart from that hill climb one that beat the XR…..

don't know how true or what's involved but that bike is hilltop tuned and apparently 170hp!

I think that’s ridden by Nigel Mansells son. Plus wee pic of small wheels

I've owned a few supermotos,

Yes light weight is obviously good, but I think the upright riding position and long travel suspension is an intrinsic element too.

So a heavy supermoto isn't going to be thrown about and backed into corners by your typical rider, there is still fun to be had.

A better base would be an R12 G/S although the 1300 will have more go.

Either would be surprisingly quick on a mountain road.

people use a Gs for different things. that's the best thing about them; they can do so much. I use mine for off road trails and hooning around. it makes me feel like a kid.

I've much faster bikes than my Gs (panigale v4 SP for one) but enjoy the motocross style seating position, bit of comfort, noise and the immense low down torque. i use it more than my other bikes just for fun

I've had a gs1200 for years but have a 1300 coming beginning of December.
just wondered if anyone here had tried some 17's with sticky boots.

Here you go.

I doubt if the tire size is really going to make that much difference imo especially in a non racing situation. I've had no trouble at all powersliding with a 21 front on the old XT 500. Sure it might make a tiny difference but the 21" is awesome in the dirt sections with bumps, big tires/wheels roll over stuff much better ....

a 17inch rotobox would only be for road use mate. too pretty to trash off road!

BST do 19 inch front in carbon too if your rich engine to risk them off road.....

I thought we were talking supermoto, which is half dirt half road .... but that said those wheels do look nice, and green is a great color ....
