Quite an apt and convenient place to have an off though Cardiff, i think that dip there is called Puddleduck if memory serves me well or if not then possibly Woodbine, us pembs folk having a nickname for every damned bend in the county, if you ride over to Aber and then down into pembs you'll pass us going in the opposite direction, ever thought of a Garmin?

;) :P

I won't pass you if I do that on Saturday and then get up early on Sunday and ride to Carmarthen to meet EJ and ride back down with him :) In fact i'll then be going the same way you lot are won't i :) Though I ride that slowly that you'll all think I've broken down :P

Dutchland.

Where windmills have mice in, and its hardly surprisin.

Noo ..... wheres me clogs

Cardiff and Welshmagician. I'm still up for a ride next weekend. I'll PM you. ;)

Do you think we'll see little boys with their fingers in dykes?

With a bit of luck, and a local street map ........ just maybe.

Why the hell do you think I'm going there? :D :D

I fancy a trip around Pembrokeshire and South Cards, but frankly I'm worried that if I post a route and God forbid, anyone gets hurt or worse, I could be making a rod for my own back ? It's bloody sad when you have to think twice about organising anything, but I have a family, a house and a business, and when there are insurance companies etc out there, who would sue you as soon as look at you, you simply have to take this into account. :( I may well post the GPS route I personally intend taking on here, but don't fancy being classed as an "organiser" for any ambulance chasing solicitors out there.

I like Welsh Magicians idea - haven't been that way for years. What's in Burton ? Will probably PM you - I owe you a pint, for that disk you sent me. ;)

Cambell, you sound like just the sort of chap to organise and lead a run "I have a family, a house and a business" :D :D

But unless, as you're doing it on the QT, you PM me how do I know where to meet

Well the rest of us can organise our own "social gathering" then:rolleyes:

I can feel a run to a west Wales chippy coming on.

Storey arm's (Brecon Beacons)
Llandovery
Abergwesyn
Nant-y-moch (If time alows)
then south down the coast to Aberaeron for lunch

I'll probably be leaving Storey arm at about 08.30 on Easter Sunday after I've been to chapel.

Your welcome to join at your own risk

:D :D :D

Right. I've prepared a preliminary route on the GPS to Pembrokeshire inc Lawrenny, Burton (pub lunch?), over the Preselis, Cenarth and back over Llanllwni mountain to Llanwrda and the West End Cafe. There's no particular reason for choosing that route, other than I haven't been to some of those places since I was a kid. If anyone fancies a more exciting route - I'll fit it.

I just want to run it past Dennis tonight, to see if he has any alterations he suggests making. When its sorted, I'll post the route on here. Will confirm times etc, but how does meeting at Carmarthen McDonalds at 9am for a 9:30am departure sound?

Your welcome to join me at your own risk. :D :D

I'll join you at my own risk :D , i'll probably pick you up(figuratively speaking) at Carew, i reckon about 10.30, possibly 11am if cardiff's as pipe and slippers as he says ;) , oh, and dont' forget we Pembs folk never exceed the legal maximum down here so no antics or excessive speed please on the counties roads. :angel

me too

i think i'll come along and join you for this, and yes i ride really slowly so i,ll be near the back on my little bike.....

Get your lazy butt out of bed at 7.30 and meet me for 8 am at greens in harford.....

we can be in carmarthen for 8am <G> and moan that the rest of them are taking hours to arrive (plenty of time for bagels and decaff coffee then) :)

And my sodding Garmin GPS cable is naffed and all so i'm GPSless :(

Cheers

You can have whatever floats your boat lad. I'll probably be there a bit earlier than 9am myself. McDonalds is quite an easy place to find, its got a good car park and its literally within a stones throw of Safeways petrol station for those that need to fill up. :D

Dennis is up to his cravat in work, so hasn't had a chance to look at the suggested route yet.

I know life moves fast in Caaaaaaardiff, but we wont make McDonalds by 8am if we meet at Greens at 8am will we?. Furthermore i object to being asked to get up that early on a Bank Holiday weekend, however i'll see you at Greens at 8am on Sunday, and i bet your late!

EJ, route looks sound to me, but then you know what my route planning is like:D

I'll probably meet up with PW (and any other that feel so nclined) at the West End, Llandovery. Havn't confirmed time yet, but 8am sounds good to me, quick breaky and on to meet up at McChuck-up for 9.30 off:beerjug:
