Ardennes, Nurburgring, snow....

Found it! They mustn't have turned the clock back on the webcam.
15.03 on 26/10 shows Denise and I sat at the barrier. There are no pictures up in the photo log for that date, though I doubt any of the trackside photographers would have wasted a click on us. :D

Great pics and report, Mark, thoroughly enjoyed your trip. :clap

When I read: "... noticed a by now familiar gleam in Denise's eyes. "You want to go round, don't you?" I asked, although I already knew the answer. "Seems rude not too!" she replied, grinning furiously", I was expecting Denise to have nicked your bike to go round the Nürburgring herself... :D

However, hats off to your better half - as Rushy rightly pointed out, I wouldn't fancy riding pillion on a race track or through the snow...

Well done the both of you! :thumb2

your trip looks ace catherine has said shed like to try that next year! it looks like you followed the same route as someone was that on their reccomendation or coincedence?

Hi Sam,
We thought about you two while we were in McDonalds, and hoped you made it home safely.
The route we took was based around the recomendations of Wapping, whose reports in the travel section had inspired me. He kindly emailed me his GPS logs from a previous trip, so with those, the zumo and my maps we were able to tailor them to what we wanted to do on any particular day.
The ride reports section of this site is a fantastic resource, and can keep you entertained for hours and informed for future.
Good to hear from you!
Mark
