Keys....

My bike came with 1 proper key + a cheap one - I ordered a second 'proper' one.

They told me when I picked it up that it had been duly noted in a database somewhere, that a second key had been issued to my bike.

Big brother and all that:eek: and it cost £30 but lets not go down that road again - :mmmm

My dealer arranged to have the 2nd key ordered and sent to me gratis - suggest you ask for your £30 back.....especially after splashing out for a new bike!

Coded keys

Jefferies provided a second coded key as part of the service. Also when I swapped my luggage over from an '04 bike to the new one Dec 06 they coded the BMW panniers also free of charge. Apparently it is rated as a 3 hour job for the workshop!!! And should therefore cost circa £150!!!
Go to Jefferies is my advice.
