Are you a knobbler..?

I also use Heidenau's all the time, 500mls a month (mostly dual carrigeway) for work so get squared off but don't have any problems on the road and find them pretty good off-road, put a new pair on once a year approx. 10000mls. This winter will be my third set.

SQUARED OFF!!! They sell them like that, all I can do is improve the profile by riding twisties at speed. 'Onest Officer.

I have two sets of wheels and switch between TKCs and Tourances.

To be honest I don't think the Tourances are any better on the road. In the dry they are fine but they let go very suddenly in the wet.

The TKCs let go earlier but are much more progressive.

As for cost, two rear TKCs and a front cost about the same as a set of Tourances and last about the same as well.

TKCs look better on a GSA :hide

I'd rather drop it on the grass with road tyres than drop it on the road in the wet with off road tyres:rob

My thoughts exactly............though I do have TKCs on at the moment. I fitted them out of curiosity really. They do look bloody good and seem to be fine, just a bit of vibration and tyre noise.

On my second set of Heidenaus. Good in all conditions. As good as TKCs in all conditions and IMHO better in the wet in all but muddy conditions. Will be returning to roadattacks again as do not go off road often nowadays. Would not have any qualms in using knobblies all the time though
