Has anyone had experience with the Arioh S4 helmet?

I've seen one review on webbike and they had plenty of praise for it low noise, light weight, very good peripheral vision etc. Anyone here with any thoughts?

It seems like a winner, good price etc. Just after some valued real world advise.

Yes mate, buy an Arai Tour X, or the new Shoei. Value for money springs to mind.

The Airoh is a £50.00 helmet and then they charge you an extra £49.99 for fitting a visor to a cheep helmet.

The press make their money by giving good reviews. Bad review= no repeat business from the Importers.

If your second attempt at a search worked you'll know by now anyway.

Val, instead of talking out your arse go buy one.

An Airoh S4 owner.

FYI I have been and had a close look at one from the inside. When they came on the market I thought one would look good with my bike.
Sadly I was disappointed. Poor quality and very cheep in comparison to a conventional full face helmet for the same price.
IMHO I couldn't bring myself to pay the extra £50.00 just to have a peak on my helmet.
A couple of weeks later I was lucky enough to find a Tour-X for £125.00 (new)

Anyway Arai's fit me better ;)

Airoh? No Thanks

I bought 1 to attend the BMW Offroad school as I had/have an Arai Quantum - which I love. VERY comfortable, so maybe I have an Arai head :)

Airoh is definitely built down to a price, with low spec parts - felt nasty to me. Was comfortable when on, but biggest problem for me was the way it had a narrow opening and scratched me every time I put it on. Immediately sold it on to a happy bunny somewhere.

I then acquired a brand new second hand BMW Offroad helmet without trying it, as the seller advised me that it also fitted his Arai-Medium bonce very well. Build quality is A1, and apart from a minor buzz sometimes, it is a very nicely made, comfortable helmet.

I can only suggest you Try Before You Buy if possible. Like others, I'm not sure that a £500 helmet is 5 times better/safer/prettier than a £100 helmet, but comfort, buckle design (D-Ring for me please) and "Feel" is what matters. You know it's right if you can wear it for 5 hours without a problem (I did once )
