I have this stuff fitted to one of my bikes all over, that's a matte finish bike and the shield is also matte, it's invisible in place and prevents scratches/wear. On another bike I've just used it across the tail section (naked bike so no fairings) and that stops my boot scuffing the bike when I'm lazy getting on and off.
I've got a contact who can Ventureshield the new bike. I'm not really thinking it needs it, is worth the cost or generally can be arsed but I wonder what the seasoned types view is on whether it's a worthwhile thing to have done to a GS. I do think the side panels look like they will start to age and I'd rather keep it looking smart as it is new and no point being lazy with care.
