The Guinness Book of Records, accepts 19,460 road miles as 'Going around the earth.
My June 06 GSA has just clocked up twice that.... so it's been around twice.
In that time I have just a handful of problems, none of which would have stopped it going around once, which is probably the benchmark most often spouted as in, "BuMW should build a bike that can go around the world".
Up to 19,460 no problems.... one rear light bulb.
One lap completed.
22,000 miles.... around the world plus 10%.... Rear speed sensor failure.... Replaced under warranty, along with final drive.... Bike in on Monday, back on Wednesday evening.
25,000 miles.... around the world plus 28% one rear disk.... fitted from stock under warranty, one day.
26,000 miles.... around the world plus 33% one rear light bulb, again!

31,000 miles..... around the world plus 60% fuel pump controller.... fitted a spare in under 40 minutes.
38,500 near side wing mirror broken off.... Self-inflicted
Mended with a fork and lasted 1,000 miles to get me back home.
So, two laps completed and perhaps three or four days lost. Not bad, I guess.
