I think the GT550 was a lendy bike because the Hornet got a poorly-bad.

Hoona poorly so had the fright of me life on the back of a.non clean 1200 :D

Left down while I did a small tour and should be on a truck by lunch tomorrow
 
Kwak was ace - carbs needed cleaning apart from that brilliant

was in kildare this morning after stopping at silken thomas pub last night - to be handy for the bike as me phone stopped working (3 gonna get it tomorrow :()

up and ring the breakdown lot - hi due to phone issues here is the 4 th number ive given you in 2 days for contact :D

van will be with you at 11.30 (this was 8am this morning after id been up since 5.45 cos i was not looking forward to today

taxi to the passportless ones mansion to wait for them

wee scottish man (wouldnt shut up about all things football :D and was a celtic fan - good bloke) rings phone hi ill be there in 10 mins im in kildare

half an hour later after two more phone calls (its the boonies alright not his fault :D)

collected and 50mph back to dub after 46 ratchets straps added :D

dropped at port where they wouldnt let him the 300 yards to the terminal buidling :D (bike started oil light flash and i know theres no water in it :blast

this was just before 2

get to lanes and sign says 15.00 boat delayed due to weather (f windy)

due in at 1700 (in the terminal and using stena phone as the payfone wasnt working)

the boat is delayed ill now be in wales at 8pm at the soonest

yes sir no problem (they have been brilliant)

get on the boat and its free food again (borrowed boat and didnt have a shop or wifi and there were only two tvs on it tuned to rte newzzzzzzzzz)

slightly choppy and foreign blerk on the deck said youll have to strap the bike down (using the worst s+m straps you ever seen (not ratchets)

although if the bike fell over it would have raised it value :blast)

food was good tho and they had lots of tea and biccies and cake on the go - shut up at the back :thumb)

off the boat and ask the security guy at the exit have you seen a recovery van/truck with monduran on the side

yes think hes gone onto boat :blast

go to terminal and ring breakdown gadge 'yes sir hes driven onto the boat'

ok (feck) tell him im parked outside

he comes oot and straps it to the fanciest electric winch trailer behind the scruffiest nissan terrano youve ever seen :D

nice anglesey man had been in bwm chester that day :D

1600 gt had headlamp issues :D the motors did a jonny 5 whenever it hit bumps inthe road apparently - new lamp needed with all the daft motors all because the reflector had come loose :blast 2.5 hours and full frontal strip of 3 month old bike :D he got given an f800 and hated the fairing cos it was skinny :D - f windy from there to chester he said

and they didnt have coffee so he was sat in starbucks all day :beerjug:

that was at half 8 and 3 hours home - gave him some wine gums and a brew and sent him off

vehicle rescue direct - if you need euro cover they are completely helpful and over the 15+ calls (thats what it felt like) they were completely calm and didnt laugh and rang me back when i ran outta change twice

got in at 2320

big up to hennessy motors naas and monduran assist anglesey

oh and the honda - possible headgasket (thanks kildare damian) or oil cooler failure

Quite a schlep but with happy ending, nice to hear about people who know their job and enjoy doing it, or at least get on with it.
