Hi

I bought an AS7 and an AS6 as recommended by the importer to work a pair of spots and a pair of fogs. I arraanged for a bike electrician to wire up as per the supplied instructions which he did. However the opperation of the lights is not as it should be.

The Fog Lights are on the AS6 circuit and work ok by a two taps on the indicator cancel button. The spots are supposed to come on by press and hold the cancel button for a few seconds and release when the led flashes.

Well mine dont. I have to press the cancel button and wait for the led to flash and then I press it again to get the lights on.

Has any one had a simular problem or can offer any help. Importer not really helpful and the manufacturer does not answer emails.

Many thanks for any help

Graham

An update nov11

An update to my AS7 switch instalation. I have had contact with the manufacturers and took their advise to check the wiring. l took it back to the highly GS reccommended Towzer from Nottingham and had him check all the wiring. Everything was as per the instructions.

However the problem continued.

However Again!! we found the problem went away if the ignition was switched on and off and on again.. So now l have to switch the ignition on and off everytime to get my fogs and spots working correctly.

I have emailled the Auto switch in the USA but todate have not had a reply.

I would be intetested if anyone has wired in an AS7 and had any problems

Did you get anywhere with this? I'm having the same problem.

no

In a word no.

I send a few emails to the guy in the States and got no where, he didn't seem interested. I have just learned to live with it, switching the ignition on twice to get it right.

If you find anything out let me know, please.

Regards Graham

Are you sure your not resetting the Autoswitch? I recall seeing a video where one model you could switch from two quick taps to a press and holding down the switch... I've had one on my F800GS that I fitted myself for years with no problems. Have you tried connecting the two autoswitches to two different controls?
