Audio system 2014 R1200RT

Just got my new R12RTLE after a 3 month delay due to recall. What a bike. Presumed that BMW would be at forefront of technology. Radio is analogue and not digital! I was too dumb to realise when I saw the aerial on the bike on the test ride in March. Not much use as most biking is in the hills and signal is lost. Disappointing as a £1,000 extra! Believe you can plug a digital adapter into the Aux? and pick up the digital signal through this?
Also re cable for Aux from BMW to plug in iPod etc. Believe this is not available yet?? Anyone know of any cable that works and will show details on the dash for control through the Multi-controller? I have used cables that work but do not give details on the dash.

I have the RT LE with the audio package, I use the same bmw lead that I took off my 2012 RT to connect my iPod or sometimes just plug a memory stick into the bike usb port
Not tried to get digital radio though

You do need the BMW cable. Others don't work properly.

Hello all I'm new here to the R1200RT......But I know that the same lead for connecting the ipod to the 2014 R1200RT is the same lead you can buy from a BMW car dealer, as its the same one I use in my 2008 BMW 635d series

works fine with my 30 pin iPod, but doesn't work with a 30 pin to lightning adapter.
