Anyone managed to turn off the auto gear shift thing. Fuse, connector or something.

Hi, I would have thought disconnecting the multi plug from the gear shift rod would do the trick.

Vaseline the connecting pins to protect from corrosion on both ends tho as in the future someone may want it reconnecting again.

Be careful RickSkye. You'll upset all the bikermates who can't change gear themselves asking things like that. :D

I'll be on Skye this week. keep an eye out for a T-Max and a GS. I'll be on the GS trying to keep up :blast

more than pulling a fuse the connector to the lever is different, when mine was retro fitted with Gear Shift Assist Pro the original link arm was returned to me in a box

Assuming you're talking about gear shift assist, just use the clutch and don't use the feature.

Exactly why would you think of disconnecting it, just don't use it. And also why wouldn't you want to use it, it's brilliant.

I just had a test ride on one with it but was not told about it, never noticed it as I clutchless shift from second up and clutch down. I have ordered the bike with it, just as it was so unnoticeable and much more expensive to add later.

I must have a peculiar way of changing gear, but sometimes when i shift up the engine drops the revs just after i have shifted and let the clutch out. Nose dive.
Its getting @#$/ annoying.

Yo need a little help. Changing UP keep the throttle open don't close it at all
Changing Down keep the throttle off or closing

But if using the quick shifter, you shouldn't be touching the clutch.

This is getting confusing. 😣
I am trying not to quick shift, so I pull in the clutch, change gear and let out the clutch. Then the quick shift decides it wants to play and drops th engine revs for a split second. It happens mostly low gears.

Actually what happens when you try a normal clutch gearchange when you have quick shift fitted? Does the electronics know that you are trying to do a manual gear change not using the quick shift? I guess that even though you are using the clutch the electronics is still trying to do the shift by adjusting engine revs etc. This is probably why the OP wants to disconnect it.

I didn't like the quick shift (tried on early 2014 so may be better now) so dont have it on my GS so cannot try these options.

According to the manual - when the clutch is engaged the quick shift pro is automatically disabled so no a drop in revs should not occur.

Take it up with your dealer.

That's not right. Get your dealer to have a look at it, as using the clutch disables gsap.
