My original plan was to have a Bluetooth dongle transmitter at the Zumo end (to get stereo music) and another Bluetooth receiver attached to my ear monitors.
So I tried EarBuds which I found produced fantastic sound but were difficult to keep in place when putting on my helmet.
I then considered going down the Ultimate Ears route but then I started adding up the cost of all of the kit and the fact that I would be constantly charging batteries.
I finally got fed up with the whole idea, saw that Autocom dealers were doing blinding deals and went along this afternoon to Infinity in Portsmouth.
There I picked up a Kit 200 Active Duo for £100 and the great manager fitted the whole shebang to my Schuberth C3 for nothing. Good man
I decided to use the 9V battery option in the short term to work out exactly how I wanted to use the system before hard-wiring it into the GSA.
The only audio cable that Infinity had available was the Autocom 1293 at £5 and as this is fitted with 3.5mm plugs at either end, I bought it.
I rushed home, put the battery into the Autocom, fitted the Zumo to the bike, plugged the helmet into the Autocom and fitted the audio cable between the devices.
So far so good.
Then I powered up the Zumo and, after the boot up, hit the audio play button. Yup, music allright, but at half the volume of the EarBud ear monitors, even with all the volumes maxed.
I have now read the thread on the hidden Zumo Master Volume and rushed into the garage to see what it was set at. Ah good, only halfway....so I have set it at maximum.
I have not had enough time to retest the volume but, before I do, I just wanted to see if part of the problem might be the 1293 cable.
Cheers
