My Pro 7 Sport started making noises - my headset lead seemed to have a broken wire and it sounded like a mad 2-stroke.

In a hurry (and Wollaston did not stock this simple part) I rang Autocom at Warwick and arranged to go there to buy a lead.

On arrival, the sales guy (didn't get his name; wish I had) said "oh, that's the old type of 7-pin lead, we've had a few where the wires break down inside" (it has a solid rubber gland, not ribbed, oooooooer!).

He came out to look at the bike and said "wheel it in and I'll change to unit leads to the new type". 10 Minutes later he reappeared, handed me TWO headset leads and refused any payment.

A 4 year old Autocom, on the bike when I bought it secondhand, fettled for free, on-the-spot. Now that IS service.

Autocom gets my vote.
