autocom fitting

I am looking to fit my autocom unit in the plastic tray that currently holds the miserly toolkit and want to take the feed from the back of the standard auxilliary power socket . I thought it would be easy to dismantle the black 2 pin plug (ie the one that has the two short wires from the loom and fits into the back of the power socket) but up to now I can't find a way of dismantling it so that I can solder in parallel. Can anyone one offer any suggestions on how to get it apart

Disconnect the aux socket, strip a bit of insulation and solder a parallel connection, well that's what I did.
