Hi there guys,

Just bought a Autocom Pro 7 Sport off a mate and about to set about getting it hooked up. Just out of interest, how have you guys implemented the helmet setup? My mate said the best way is to cut into the lining of the helmet and insert the earpieces there and do similar for the mic. Now, I'm not too happy with cutting into the lining of my brand new Shark helmet. The lining doesn't come out as it is glued in. Surly there must be a better way to set this up?

With TourX....

With my tour X I found the cheek pieces had little covers which peeled back to reveal a purpose built area to stick your earpieces.

I also got one of the curly leads to plug in custom earpieces when the mood suits. Would solve prblem of cutting up your new helmet.

Best bet is to give Autocom a call and tell them what helmet you have, they'll advise the best way to fit it.

If you really want, I understand you can ride up there & they'll fit it for you, not sure how much, but they seem to do them in minutes.

Or wedge up £10 for sponsorship of the forum and have the ability to PM GSRich (who works for autocom & I'm sure will be happy to advise) :D

I have had a loog at the looms with the 3.5mm jack in them so you can plug in normal headphones...

A think a day trip up to Autocom wouldn't be that bad!!
As for the subscription, it's coming! I just have to find the spare cash!

Grab a coffee and hit the search button. Normal headphones won't protect you from the road noise, assuming you wear ear plugs.......

It's only £12 for a year, dig deep behind the sofa :D

I was thinking of using these and a pair of bog standard headphones like you use on a mp3 player to make my own headphones/earplugs.
All that would be needed to be fitted is the mic then and that could be done without cutting the lining.

I'd have a chat with autocom first, they might have a simple solution

This could be the most simplest solution yet!!
