I have an autocom unit fitted to my 1200 GSa. Recently i have been getting a problem where the music just dips in volume and has lots of interference, to resolve it i simply turn off the ignition and turn it back on again and everything is okay again for a few days. I have tried the normal things and i am pretty sure it is not the volume or anything like that. Its weird as it happens quite sporadically sometimes about 5 minutes into my journey and other times when i have been happilly listening to music for a hour or so.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

Sounds a little bit like the problem that has been dogging my 05 1200GS since new. In my case, the volume dips, then cuts out completely - along with all power to the accessory sockets. Like yours, everything springs back to life, temporarily, when I turn off and restart. Even so, I cannot believe a brand new bike would be exhibiting the same problem.

Numerous tinkerings with the wiring by 3 different dealers, hardwiring and two software updates have so far failed to cure the problem. But I live in hopes ... I'm leaving it with Vines for a thorough investigation at the end of the month.
