Hi should these two products be ok with each other Autocom Logic L1 with 1299 interface ????

I have the Zumo 550 and phone connected to said lead above but people can't here me through the phone, could not find any info on the 1299 (which is second hand) and the logic to say it should or should not work???

***this may relate to another problem***

Only just bought the Logic for a trip abroad but we were having issues with a mate hearing me. At the time the radio (motorola) was under the seat while we were travelling I could hear him at high speed but not the other way around.
I think he also has a faulty headset ext lead, as when we were sitting getting ready to move his system keyed up without him talking, he wiggled the lead untill the sytem went into standby, we swapped over radios later in the day and he said i was only in mono and he was very quite to me.....

Was going to sort this out today but weather is crap outside so may have to wait a bit longer.

Any pointers

Thanks Paul

****JUST noticed I have a Cobra MT800 radio's not a motorola.... it's using the motorola bike to bike lead****

Well looks like i'm getting somewhere :D

managed to get the phone side working...... it was dirty/loose connectors in the 1299 cleaned these up and added a bit more pressure on the connection of the audio and mic plugs, this is easy repair to do, open up the 1299 box and looking at the sockets on the pcb you can see three metal pins/contacts (like very thin paper clips) which makes contact with the inserted plug very gently bend these inwards just a bit.(with no plug inserted) so more pressure will be applied to the inserted plugs.

I still have the problem with not been heard very well through bike to bike
and a new problem of my zumo 550 powering off for no reason

the part 1299 is the WRONG part for your Logic, give Sam at Chainspeed a buzz for the correct parts as im having a brain fart on the parts you would need for the correct set up

Just ordered some bits from Sam the other day.....

thought because the 1299 had the 4 section pin it would have been ok with the logic!!!! is this not the case?

Paul

Yeah its how they are wired or set up internally which is different, the Logic and Super Pro AUTO had a whole new list of parts to run along side the products and the Part 1299 were for the older 2009 models like the Active Plus and Super Pro AVi

Glad your sorted via Sam, hes a top bloke and once you're on the right parts you will be fine mate
