Well, now got my two radio's from Intaride... (803's) and the man said I needed to order the PTT's from Autocom, as they were the only part intaride did not supply. The intaride radio's came with a converter lead (2pin into side of radio, 5 pin at the other end to plug into grey Autocom lead.

I've got a Pro 7 Sport, Lyn has a 200 duo kit fitted.

so... PTT's came with a split lead, with 2 grey ends... there's no other way for them to fit... 1 lead plugs into the adaptor/converter which goes to radio, one plugs into grey connector from Autocom.

Both radio's communicate with each other when not in the loop , but PTT's don't seem to do anything when all connected

I've tried both radio's , with both PTT's on both bikes, with ignition on, helmet plugged in.. and there doesn't seem to be any particular menu setting on the radio's for PTT.. still diddly  I think I've ruled out a faulty PTT/Radio/Autocom unit?

Maybe there's more than one type of PTT and I've got the wrong ones ? ( the one's supplied are part 1457)

Rang intaride at 4pm friday... office closed til Tuesday

Any ideas would be great :thumb

Don't you have to turn PTT off on the radios or the opposite?

Not sure which but I had a similar problem with my Midland G7 radios.

Are they the sort with a 3-position switch?

Is the switch in mid-position?

Greg

3 position switch.. still won't work no matter what position they're in ;)

Can't find anything in the radio menu's to suggest a setting to make the ptt's work...

Roynie and I have had endless fun with our comms set up. We hope we are finally sorted (dodgy BuMW electrics + faulty radio :augie) Here's my pen'eth anyway ...

When you press the red PTT button, do you get any indication on the radio display that the radio is actually transmitting. (Not familiar with your radios, but our Midland Allan radios display an LCD bar showing signal strength on the receiving radio when someone tries to transmit.) If so, it may be that your microphones are not properly set up - or the helmet connections have come undone.

Otherwise, GSRich is probably the man to sort you out.

I''ve just bought the same radio from Intaride but I bought their PTT switch. I have an Autocom headset and Intaride put a 7 pin DIN plug on their helmet lead and everything works great. I do have the benefit of their office/workshop being in the same building that I work in:D

Nothing happens when the red button is pushed... no indication on the radio at all :thumb

Intaride told me I needed to buy a pair of PTT's from Autocom as they didn't do them ...

I'll end up ringing intaride on Tuesday I think
