autocom switched live

Trying to get hold of GS Rich. i think he is the man for this.

Fitting pro avi to my new 08 gsa this saturday.

What is the best place for a switched live. IS it the aux socket under the seat.
What colour wire?
What is the best place to situ the autocom bearing in mind I have a kenwood radio too.

Don't know about best but with the accessory socket now under the tool tray on the 08 models I went with the autocom unit in the flat tray secured using the velcro fitting kit and in built rubber strap and piggy backed of the auxiliary socket feed itself.

Can't for the life of me remember the colours of the wires but I think the earth is brown.

Ive not actually fitted an 08 yet but I would say from what ive seen the power will be the same as on the other BM's on the canbus wiring.

so green/red for the live and earth direct to the battery.

for the kenwood normally mounted on person on the GS's due to the lack of room underneath the seats.
