Slightly confused boys and girls because i'm crap when it comes to electrices. I have connected the audio out on the GPS cradle to Aux 2 on the Autocom 150. With the 550 and phone coupled up in bluetooth, when the phone rings the mp3 volume reduces accordingely, I can hear the person calling me but they are unable to hear me respond. I have tested the mike on the autocom and it seems to work as I can hear my voice through my ear phones. Can somebody throw some light on this for me.
PS, What is the purpose of the mike jack plug on the GPS cradle.
Cheers PP.

Are you using cable 1298 to connect the Zumo to the Autocom? If you are then one end goes into the Autocom, and at the other end, one of the plugs goes into the audio out and the other goes into the mike input.
So the mike input is for the riders speech to get to the Zumo and is then bluetooth-ed to the phone.

Have a look at the back page of the current brochure on www.autocom.co.uk .

John, the part 1298 is our Garmin 2820 interface lead, the correct lead needed will be a part 1299.

Pink Panther what interface leads are you currently running for the connections?

Rich@ Autocom

Thanks for the replies lads. The two leads that came with the unit are 1238 and 1307. 1307 3.5mm to 3.5mm is currently connected from the GPS cradle to the autocom unit.

you need one of the following..

Part #1299 Garmin Zumo GPS lead Connection lead to a Garmin Zumo 500/550 GPS. For use in Aux 2 with Easi-PLUS, Active-PLUS and Super Pro AVi. £38.00

Part #1300 Garmin Zumo GPS lead (Retro) Connection lead to a Garmin Zumo 500/550 GPS. For use in Phone Socket on Pre 2006 systems (Active-7-Smart, Pro-7-Sport) £38.00

I have the 1300 one part goes into the aux 2 and the other two cables go to the mike in and the audio out on the Garmin mount.

IT works well, I have audio(mp3) via aux1 in, PTT bike to bike and Garmin with Bluetooth to the phone.. It all works as advertised..although I still tend to use my IPOD for the music rather than the Garmin

Pink you are actually using our standard phone and music leads, these are not designed to be used with the Zumo at all, you will need our Part 1299 as I said to get you fully sorted.
