Re: Apologies to Lee Bastin

I've been grovelling under my bike's beak. It seems that Lee has used different mounting points, so 275mm/M5 is correct.

If you use the mounting points that I have, the dimmensions are 230mm and M6 bolts.

Greg

Greg,

Are you going to the Ace Sunday ? see this. If so I'd like a demo of the 2 relays. ta

I dunno yet - depends on whether the snow is deep and crisp and even. Probably.

I installed the Hella Micro DE foglights today on a stainless steel lasercut lighting bar.

Here's another picture:

I was very much surprised of the amount of light these small lamps give. I'll try to make some pictures of the lighting patterns against a wall of the standard GS-light alone and one of the foglights added.

Hi,

I didn't make it myself. They are made by a guy called Michel. I believe he can also make a lasercut protection for the oilcooler. I know he already shipped some of them to Germany and The Netherlands. I think he can send them to the UK also.

His emailaddress is [email protected]

This is his setup of the lighting bar and the oilcoller protection:

I have emailed Michel about the lasercut lighting bars. Three of us may be interested, but I am guessing we could get a good deal and save a packet in shipping charges if a few more wanted one.

Let me know if you are interested - [email protected] / 07802 797486

Regards,

Mike

I did aswell

Thats four of us Mike, as you say there may be a saving to be made for a bulk order.

I just ordered four of the laser cut bars from Michel in Belgium.
Cost for four including postage and sending the cash to him
via registered post was £34 each. Ordering just one via the
same method would cost about £42.

Bars are 50 euros + 5 euros postage.
I got the four at 45 euros each plus 15 euros postage.

Three of us are going to get together soon and have a lighting bar install-fest. This means we have one laser cut bar spare if anyone wants to join us down in lovely Somerset.

Regards,

Mike

Thanks for sorting this out. So its thee, me and John & Lynn booked into my garage for a install-fest. Now, the only question left .... which lights?!

Mike:
Just sent you an e-mail. I'd like a bar please, if it's still going spare!

Nice

Nice step ladder there, where did you buy it ?

If I send you the money can you pop down the HARDWARE SHOP and grt me one.

Also it that cousioned flooring, I could do with about 10 sq meters of that as well, CHEERS MATE.

GSPep/Mikebelch, can you do me a favour when you next speak to the Michael (the lazer cutting guru). Can you ask him if he could or does produce the dame bar but for the 1100GS. The retaining threads under the beak used to secure the bar are in a slightly different position and the beak is narrower.

Many thanks

Irresistible isn't it? If you don't leave soon, you'll start modifying the modifications . . . finish decorating the house and it's time do the first room again!

ENOUGH!

The bike's pretty much sorted, but I do need some auxilary lights.

Hi,

I just saw that the guy who makes the auxiliary lighting bars registered himself with this forum as "MiGSel".

Big Den:

Yep, I missed out on the first 4. Add me to your list. Kenilworth is an easy pick-up for me. I go past fortnightly collect my daughter from her mother's in Offchurch. Used to live in Kenilworth (Park Road) and then Leek Wootton.

Let me know when/how you want the dosh.

Simon
