I had a quick look using search and didn't see a ton of same problem posts - so I presume this is not too common.
Looks like just one of those things that the Warranty is there for but it's not inspiring.

I hadn't been able to use the bike for nearly a month. The bike had been turned off with the aux lights 'on'. It started no problem but I then realised that the aux lights weren't working. I thought it was mebbe low battery voltage but the headlight came on no problem. The lights were all changed to HiD units.
Realised that if the switch was pressed lightly the lamps would come on and the small green indicator would light.
A bit poor if the switch's contacts are failing if left 'on' for a month.:eek
Not even Guzzi manage that level of crap quality.
Anyone else had problems with the switch?

Mine failed after 2 years and the switch had been 'on' all that time . Was fixed under warranty but failed the following day . The last one has been ok for 6 months but I tend to leave it switched 'on' all the time . Not a common problem probably , more an irritation . Until I have to pay to have it fixed that is !:augie

Not to common? mine went after 2000 miles replaced under warranty in the 6000 service

Not happened to mine but...

Rainbow at Rotherham now have a waiting list for replacements - about 7 at the last count. Seems to be a batch fitted recently to 10 and 60 plate bikes.

Contura Rocker Switches

LED Rocker Switches (20A)

Just to add a description for those who cant page down and find the switches..............

Contura Rubberized Sealed Rocker Switches with LED indicator lights.

Waterproof switch design has a soft amber light when switch is ON. The 'label' area also lights up with a soft green light when the switch is powered. See the Extras Page for info on wiring these switches. The 'label' light is great to let you know where the switch is at night, while the amber light indicates the switch is ON.

Accepts push on 1/4" receptacles.

Fits a hole 1 3/8" by 13/16" (35 mm by 20 mm)

On my 07 GSA the aux light switch was originally mounted at the headstock.

It was in the ON position when I turned the bike off....the aux lights stayed ON, despite having the ignition key removed.

BMW replaced the switch under warranty (they were even so kind to use the later version on the grip instead of headstock mount)

Yet, still the lights sometimes stay on after the bike has been turned off and key removed.

Annoying.

Mine has failed three times ('08 GSA) now 6 months out of warranty, two replaced under warranty now they want £68 + fitting.

I'll check out the web site listed above.
