AUX Socket on a 07 GSA

Hi All

Right, got all the bits together now to wire up my Garmin 2610, I think, just waiting for the socket to connect to the AUX socket near the headstock and do the wiring.
I keep reading posts and threads on here and cannot find a definate answer to the aux sockets ability to power my Garmin 2610, also got to the stage that I cant remember what I have read and where I read it, must be my age .

Basically, question is will this socket work or do I go direct to the battery ????????????

just go directly to the battery with an in line fuse , you cant go wrong that way, & you dont need the ignition on

Garmin Lead

I made up a lead for my Garmin 2610 fitted to my 07 GS using BMW part 80000611656,wires yellow marked 1-2-3.
1= Brown Ground (earth)
2= Blue Green = speed pulse Do not use
3= Red\White = 12volt Live
Soldered wires, covered with heat shrink then Insulation tape.
Pluged lead into socket next to head stock covered with insulation tape works great switches off a few minutes after bike ignition Great
