having had to ride home from france recently in the dark, i have decided i would like to fit some auxillary lights for night riding.

now i have a standard 1200 on an 04 plate and would like some input for types of lights/fitting areas.

the bike has the lower engine bars and the side panels with the quick release bolts.

regards

Contact Les Wassall of this parish.(HID50.com)

I have his HID fog lights and returned from London to Plymouth at night ; didnt need the main beam as the fogs really illuminated the road.

Great bit of kit.

Go for an HID set up. There are 2 vendors on here who sell them.

I have the Les Wassal set up, and it's bloody brilliant.

Adventure bike warehouse also do them.

I also have a pair of these

on my bike (fitted by the previous owner) wired in with the main beam.

The whole set up is fantastic.

I'd suggest starting with the 55w HID low beam first.

Follow young Ash's advice, you won't need extra lights replacing std lights with HID's will sort you out no probs. Just been out in the dark with a std 1200 and not impressed withthe std lights but not as bad as the 1150.
