Look for threads by 'BTBR' and 'Les Wessle' these guys are the current specialists and can probably answer most of your questions.

I just happen to have asked a couple of lighting questions of my local BW dealer just yesterday.

BW can supply a plug in loom and switch for a single set of lights (same as fitted to the GSA) but it's likely you'll have to get the bike plugged into the diagnostic to make adjustments of the Can-Bus system.
Not sure how it would be affected by fitting a second set of lights.

The alternator has a total output of 600 watts on the 1200.
