Thanks for the offer Mike, I was looking at the different light set-ups at the Old Stagecoach last tuesday but didnt see your bikes round the back untill you all rode off!

Have any of you suffered from the bar fowling the forks as shown on an old thread?

I'm away in Nottingham for the week but if any of you are around at the weekend I would like to check out your bars!

I also use the miGSel light bar ( and oil cooler protector), and it's great. I have 2 pairs of ring ice blue driving lights , above and below the light bar, one for dip, one for main. It's bloody brilliant at night , no more worries about not seeing where you are going. I get the occasional oncoming 'flash' but it's rare, and when I do, I give'em 'all six' just for good measure. It took a bit of fiddling to get the lights pointing in the right place, but they are about spot on now. The bar was easy to fit and there were no problems with the forks etc. Go get one...you know it makes sense.

Thanks for the tip on PIAAs. I too now have a set.

I got fed up returning the Halford, ice blue ring lights everytime they misted up with water inside! 4 times I swapped them for a new set only to have the same thing happen again:(

If anyone wants a wiring loom for these - I'm your man - !

As Mike B said, I've got the lightbars on & cannot see how they could foul the forks - the way we have fitted them, anyway.

I'm around at the weekend if you want to take a look; it will have to be at my place however, as my seats with 'Melvin the Magician' - but the rest of the bikes in the garage & its a good oppertunity to see the wiring 'sans seat'!

Well done on the PIAA's - re: the Rings, did you spot the fact they had a 'right way/wrong way' of mounting i.e. there was a drain hole arrangement - which could be a water inlet if fitted wrongly?!

Now fitted ring fogs (fish eye lens) microswitch and home made bar (1/2 inch tubular aluminium sprayed in smooth black hammerite). Total cost £54. Very pleased with the results-cheap and now able to see the road ahead in yhe dark. Thank you everyone for your replies.
