Avoiding motorways

Hi lads,
Putting avoid motorways when I do a route and it's still wanting to send me down them ? Put avoid and it's gone off.

What app are you using?
When i unselect motorway its works on MRA and Google maps.

However this is best done before you set off.
For example if you decided to avoid motorways while on a slip road, it has no choice to start you on the motorway and then take you off.
So sometimes it can depend where you are when you change the setting.

I dont use Tomtom but I think you need to turn it on so it is Blue avoid Motorways like you have unpaved roads.

But do remember that the sat nav will take you up every B road, which can be “‘interesting” especially when the grass is growing up the middle of the road. A lot of roads here are ok on the bike, but I would not want to take the same routes with the car.

The routing algorithm is better than it used to be.
In the past i have been sent through farms and private land, as well as the footpath like roads lol

Last year or 2 its not been so bad, unless I've just been lucky.

Re read your question you have probably already done what I said. If so cant help. Other than doing a update or reset of the app on your phone sometimes sorts things out.
